Home/TRUSS in 27th EAIE conference

Dr. Jennifer Brennan from Irish Universities Association, Ireland and Przemyslaw Jankowski, from the European Commission, Belgium were the two speakers at the Workshop 14 – “EU funding for innovative doctoral training cooperation”, that took place as part of the 27th Annual EAIE (European Association for International Education) Conference. The latter is Europe’s largest international higher education conference with 5050 participants from 90 countries, and in this edition, it was held in Glasgow (Scotland) from the 14th to the 18th September 2015.

The workshop was imparted on the Tuesday 15th September from 9 to 12:30. It covered best practices from a successful Innovative Training Network (ITN) project’s first round under Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), how to develop a successful ITN proposal, and to learn and apply the basic principles of writing a good funding proposal and of understanding how an ITN project can be set up. More specifically, Dr. Jennifer Brennan (European Advisor (NCP), MSCA and National Delegate, Excellent Science Pillar) presented TRUSS as a case study of successful proposal, to give the perspective of how to put together an excellent ITN proposal, including topics such as how to find best suitable partners (particularly from Industry), and how to go about defining research and training activities.
