There are a number of popular bibliography management software tools such as Endnote, Mendeley, RefWorks or Zotero, among others. Endnote Online is available at the four academic beneficiaries of the TRUSS consortium via their subscription to “Web of Science”, and it has been chosen to create an online shared TRUSS group which allows TRUSS ESRs to be given access to the same set of references, to edit and to add new references.
Daniel Martínez Otero (ESR12) and Shah Nur Alam Sourav (ESR2), TRUSS Early Stage Researchers hosted by University College Dublin (UCD) and Arup respectively, are pictured attending a workshop about EndNote Online at UCD on the 1st February 2016. This hands-on workshop was given by Ms Michelle Dalton, College Liaison Librarian.
EndNote Online
EndNote is used to help organizing research by allowing ESRs to:
- Record, store and manage references
- Add references manually or search and download directly from online databases and library catalogues
- Use a feature called Cite While You Write which allows to insert references and automatically create bibliographies for papers
- Collaborate online within the TRUSS team and with the global research community
